Nursery Bedding Sets Match Better and Are Less Expensive

You can find any kind of crib bedding you can possibly imagine, from crib sets for little girls to baby bedding sets for boys to gender neutral bedding. If you are not sure what you want for bedding, you may be tempted to pick out separates, but you should consider how much it's going to cost you. Baby bedding sets are exactly the same as buying a "bed in a bag" for an adult's bed. Buying a baby bedding set will give you more confidence that everything will look right together, and some extra (matching) crib sheets are easy to find.

To be sure you get what you want, try to have some idea of the colors and fabrics you want before you start your search. First time parent might be attracted to the luxury of silk, but to be honest, it's not particularly practical. Babies are messy and silk is hard to clean. Whether you just like changing things around frequently, or you're redecorating the nursery for a new baby, bedding sets make it easy because you can change the look of the nursery considerably by just switching bedding sets.

Whether you know the gender of your new baby or not, make sure you buy bedding that's going to make sense. Now you'll probably agree that boys and pink don't go together, but blue for a girl isn't a problem - it's a bit strange, isn't it? You are not likely to have any problems whatsoever, though, because manufacturers keep themselves well informed of market trends. Great boys' themes include trains, planes, and automobiles, but alos sports themes like baseball or a football crib set. You'll find that boys' rooms are often in brighter colors than girls' rooms, incorporating oranges, reds, greens and blues. You'll frequently find girl's rooms decorated with ballerinas, princesses, or flowers. While pink is the first color associated with a girl's nursery, purple, yellow, and even blue are also common choices. There are also plenty of gender-neutral options, like cartoon characters, animals, and the solar system.

If you really can't find what you're looking for, you always have the option of custom bedding. Bedding is not particularly hard to make, so if you want to do something extra special for your baby, think about making the bedding yourself. Buying baby bedding can be a challenge, but as long as you keep your budget and preferences in mind, you should be able to find what you want.
